Lethargy

Journal Entry: Thu Oct 20, 2005, 8:22 PM
So I'm completely lazy, and have done absolutely nothing as of late. My last journal was in April.

I spent the entire summer working. 6 shifts a week at Milestones, work on KelownaGigs.com, and now I'm also starting with an Independent Business. At the moment I'm working twice a week at Milestones, squeaking my way through university, and trying to get to my other projects on the side.

I have a box of ~20 T-shirts in my car. I've sold 2. Yeah....
Brittany's sister stole her Shattered Rays shirt, unknowing of where it came from, and reportedly received many compliments on it. Now if only people knew they could buy them. I'm hoping more people get interested, cause it could turn into a really cool ongoing project, I'm just too busy and lazy to push it much.

I got my SLR back from Brittany, but the flash is iffy and the light meter seems to be shot. Some crappy photos may appear in the future, but don't count on it.

I'm rather wholly unimpressed with 'the university experience'.
Physics is a repetition of Physics 12, just made slightly more complicated. The lab section has included several labs almost identical to experiments I did in physics 11, then requires a blathering report, which takes 3-4 hours to write.
I've fallen asleep in most of my computer science classes, as the course is essentially 'programming for beginners.' I've been programming in higher level languages for almost two years, and taught myself everything the course is covering. Not to mention the professor can't speak engligh very well, and his entire lecture is a reading of a powerpoint presentation copied from material in the textbook.
English has been unhelpful, merely adding work and frustration to my life.
Math is marginal.
Chem is the only interesting course, as it has actually introduced some new concepts, and is taught by an engaging professor.
I'm only in University because I honestly have no idea where I plan on going with my life, and so far university has provided no clarification. I'm required to take courses that have little or no relation with a general path I would like to persue.
As of this moment, I am avoiding two lab reports and an essay, as well as many pages of homework (which thankfully is not required). This last week I opened my third of five textbooks. One is still in the shrinkwrap it came in.

Why do only the good die young?

And the Girl Guides seem to have gotten really complacent nowadays. No salesmanship, just "do you want some cookies?" Why should I buy your cookies? huh? Why are they deserving of my four dollars? Then to top it off, not even the courtesy of a "Thank you anyways" when you turn them away. (and ring the doorbell once. once)
I was in Scouts. I had to sell popcorn. Who the hell wants to buy popcorn!? You don't hear of anyone stealing a truck full of popcorn. Girl Guide cookies almost have to be delivered in armoured trucks. I had to convince people why they wanted to support their local Scouting group by buying $15 worth of popcorn, or how the $25 collector tin of chocolate popcorn was worth every penny. And not only that, why they should give us the money and wait a month for their popcorn to be delivered. Now I know why Rovers drink so much.

Life is awesome.
Been too busy for any bursts of inspiration to strike, however. Perhaps when I have things better organized.

Out of high school and not in a band....I see, those are hard to come by these days.
If I should make it to Anberlin I might say hi, maybe you'll know who I am, maybe not.

Holy crap, it was....
I just haven't done much for a while (not having the digital camera and everything). If any of the pictures from the concert I went to on the 10th turn out, I'll post them.
(another sad thing is that I haven't seen TheBleedingAlarm play since that show, a year ago)

My DevID still saying 16, when I turn 19 in a month and a half is a good one too....

I always thought of Tele's as a more female guitar, ALA Chrissie Hynde, Then I saw Brad Paisley play one (yes I have a very eclectic taste in music) brought a whole new side to the Tele for me.
a very sexy guitar.

you wanna take this convo to notes so we don't totally run over each other's pages.

I LOVE the NJ series, it has a certain amount of class as well as the general kinky sexiness that the Rich always has...

Custom models do end up chopping into your savings, but from what I hear it's totally worth it.

Les Pauls are awesome but it all depends on what kind of sound you're going for, the Fender is the best for an all around sound, plugged into the right amp you can play any genre of music and it always sounds awesome. Les Pauls have a little less versatility.

I'm a guitar freak, can ya tell?

Seriously sweet guitar, do I even want to know how much that set you back?

my ole man has a '91 Custom Fender Strat, cost him a pretty penny with all the hardware on it.
